5 Herbal Teas That Can Help You Lose Weight

Herbal Teas That Can Help You Lose Weight

In losing weight, besides having a healthy balanced diet and exercise, you should also look into drinking herbal teas as an additional option.

It’s not an urban legend, studies have proven that tea can help you lose belly fat and get healthier.

All the ingredients listed here are easily found in your local grocery stores or in drugstores. Most of these can be used by just adding it to boiled water.

Teas That Can Help You Lose Weight

Green Tea

Probably the most famous kind of tea consumed all over the world. It has a high concentration of catechins which prevents the accumulation of body fat and increases your body temperature so you burn more calories than usual.

Nevertheless, be careful in choosing which green tea you want to drink! The most effective ones are not in bags.

I recommend you to try the Matcha one or Hojicha. They come in powder or leaf. It could mean that it’s less processed compared to other forms.

According to science, the optimal dosage is 3 or 5 cups a day. You can drink it instead of coffee since it has a high level of caffeine.

Turmeric Tea

For centuries, Ayurveda medicine has included Turmeric, known also as Curcuma, in their recipes.

Start to consume half tablespoons a day. Prepare it with ginger roots, 150ml of hot water, a spoon of turmeric powder and a stick of cinnamon.

Fennel Tea

This amazing seed can help you lose weight and improve your digestion. The seeds have a high concentration of estragole, minerals, vitamins, and phytonutrients.

To make this tea you have to crush the dried seeds in powder, put it in hot water and drink it.

Oolong Tea

It is a native tea from China with a fruity aroma.

Studies show that this tea if drank for six weeks can improve weight loss and speeds up metabolism.

Obviously, it’s pointless to drink just the tea and go to McDonald’s afterward. You have to eat clean and healthy.

Ginger Lemon Tea

Lemon is well known for being the best friend in weight loss since it’s very rich polyphenols and potassium; however, combined with ginger roots is one of the most powerful means for losing weight.

You can drink it as much as you want or you can consider it as a water replacement.

Instead of buying tea bags lemon ginger flavored, boil the water, squeeze a half lemon and put a slice of ginger.

Conclusion

Tea is the second most drank beverage in the world and the healthiest. But remember that drinking just tea won’t help you that much if you eat junk food and the most effort you do during the day is fetching the remote to skip the next episode on Netflix.

Be healthy, be happy, exercise, eat healthily and drink tea, in a couple of months you will be a much cheerful person.
