You may like adding basil to some of your dishes but you probably didn’t know that it can also bring you a ton of health benefits.
Here is my list of the best health benefits you can get from basil that I’ve found all around the web.

Eating basil leaves regularly can help your body fight off those unwanted bacteria.
The oil in basil leaves contains cineole, estragole, eugenol, limonene, linalool, and mycrene which gives basil its antibacterial properties.
Lab experiments show that basil was able to restrict the growth of certain bacteria like Listeria monocytogenes, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, and Yersinia enterocolitica.
